Miss America 2012, the 91st edition of Miss America pageant, has just finished at the Theatre for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. It was broadcast live on ABC. The final results are:

Miss Russia 2012 is Elizaveta Golovanova

18-year-old Elizaveta Golovanova from Smolensk was crowned Miss Russia 2012 at the Barvikha Luxury Village Concert Hall in Moscow on March 3rd, 2012. The 1.78m beauty will represent Russia in Miss World 2012 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia on August 18 and in Miss Universe 2012 on December. Kristina Gontar was the first runner-up and Alena Shiskova was the second runner-up. Reigning Miss World Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colmenares was the special guest and served as one of the judges.

According to a CNN Breaking News, famous British singer Amy Winehouse was found dead at her home in Camden, north London on Saturday, July 23, 2011. Police investigators has described the cause of Amy Winehouse death as “unexplained” however, a drug overdose is being suspected. She was 27 (September 14, 1983 to July 23, 2011).

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore, Lindsay Lohan showed up three weeks early at a Los Angeles jail to begin serving her sentence. However, it was determined by the authority that she would serve her time under house arrest because of overcrowding at the facility.
